ABOUT US

Vision statement"A multicultural church radiating Christ's love, compassionately connecting with our community and abroad, serving their needs, and sharing His message of hope and redemption, transforming lives and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community of faith."WHAT WE BELIEVEWe belive in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible is centered on the understanding of the Christian faith as revealed through Scripture. God is seen as the Creator of the universe, all-powerful and all-knowing, existing as a loving Father who desires a personal relationship with His creation. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is believed to be both fully divine and fully human, who lived a perfect life, died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, and rose again, offering eternal life to those who believe. The Holy Spirit is recognized as God's active presence in the world today, guiding believers, empowering them for service, and helping them grow in faith. The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is regarded as the inspired Word of God, providing teachings, wisdom, and guidance for how to live a life that honors God and reflects His love. Together, these beliefs form the foundation of Christian doctrine and practice, shaping the lives of those who follow Christ.

OUR HISTORYBishop Charles Sessions, D.D., was a man of deep faith and unwavering commitment to the truth of God's Word. In 1973, while seeking God’s direction for his life, he heard a divine call to establish the United Pentecostal Church of God, a ministry founded on the solid principles of Scripture. Guided by a fervent belief in the Bible's authority, Bishop Sessions became a defender of the truth, preaching the message of salvation with both conviction and compassion. His love for God was evident in every aspect of his life, from his devotion to his family to his care for the church family he helped nurture. His leadership was marked by a deep sense of responsibility, always seeking to build a community rooted in biblical teaching and spiritual growth. In 2001, following God’s leading, Bishop Sessions consecrated his son, Bishop Damon Sessions, as the presiding prelate of the organization. Shortly after this significant moment, the Lord called Bishop Charles Sessions home. His legacy of faith, love, and dedication to God's work continues to inspire and shape the United Pentecostal Church of God, and his influence is still felt by those who carry on the mission he began.Mother Amy Sessions has been a steadfast and unwavering pillar in the ministry of the United Pentecostal Church of God, offering a lasting legacy of faith, service, and devotion. Her dedication to God, her ministry, and her late husband, Bishop Charles Sessions, D.D., has profoundly shaped the church and its mission.
